Deafheaven Split with Bosse-de-Nage

Hm, I've never heard of Bosse-de-Nage, but new Deafheaven is music to my ears.

According to SWNK, the two San Francisco-area bands will record some songs this weekend (tomorrow) for an upcoming split EP for release through Flenser Records.

Deafheaven will be recording a cover of Mogwai's "Punk Rock" and "Cody," and by the way the track is listed in the news posting, these two songs will be performed together as one track.

"Punk Rock" and "Cody" are the first and second tracks respectively of Mogwai's 1999 album Come On Die Young. Mogwai were also very obviously a huge influence on Deafheaven's post-rock flavor of the band.

Bosse-de-Nage are recording an original track to contribute to the EP.

I did however stumble across their Bandcamp profile. It's pretty dark and experimental, so I think it will nicely compliment Deafheaven.

Also, if you don't have Deafheaven's Road's to Judah yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up.
