My Theory on the New Black Flag Artwork

While I really don't like the cover art for Black Flag's What The... either, if I'm right about it's origins, I think at least some die-hard fans might hate it a little less.

HAHAHA, Did Greg Ginn Even Have a Single Valid Legal Claim to Begin With???

The Black Flag/FLAG court case has been settled, and after reading the court's findings, I'm not sure what lawyer thought it would be a good idea to take on this case to begin with.

New Touche Amore Album Fall 2013

It's no secret that I'm a huge Deathwish Records fanboy. If you're like me, you probably got overly excited by the brief and nondescript video teasing Touche Amore's upcoming third album.

Crosses Are... Up to Something...

New details from Crosses conflict with previous statements, leaving slobbering fans who eat up every piece of information on the internet about this band confused. Everyone else was probably very excited.

Deafheaven's 'Sunbather'

I'm honestly surprised with the lack of enthusiasm for Deafheaven's second album Sunbather. The world went nuts with the band's debut album and even more so with their demo. Now, a few years later, it feels like it's only me and the crickets who are still cheering Deafheaven on. Perhaps I'm looking for enthusiasm in the wrong places?

New Discovery: Barrow

I love finding new bands. I used to have a goal of finding one new great band per day, but that proved to be extremely difficult. Last week I discovered a truly great band through; they go by the name Barrow.

Ballou Watch: Spring 2013

It's no secret that I have a man crush on Converge's Kurt Ballou--not only for his ability to play the guitar like no one else I've ever seen, but also for his incredible talent as a sound engineer. Converge had a little down time over the last few weeks, which Ballou used to nonchalantly pump out a few albums that will easily land on many best of 2013 lists. Here's a few highly anticipated albums that will see the light of day in spring/summer.

New Discovery: Generation of Vipers

This looks like my first post in a while about a new discovery, though this doesn't mean I haven't been quietly making them behind the scenes. I was inspired to post a blog about my latest find, Generation of Vipers, as opposed to my other more recent finds because of how easy it was to sink into this album.
